Lipsett denies claims that she helped Cummings get another job. She said “This is another twisting of words. As employers we have to... It’s not a reference these days, it’s written in a format “did you employ this man, blah, blah blah?”, “would you re-employ this man?”, that type of thing. All that was answered, but the question on the reference “would you re-employ this man?”, the answer was “no”. And “would you recommend this man?”, the answer was “no”. It was not a reference.’

Following this incident she transferred control of the Home to her daughters Sarah and Avila.

Three members of staff were the subjects of additional allegations stemming back to 2008. The allegations claimed that Shivsagur ‘Kevin’ Poorun threw an elderly patient against a door jamb, injuring his head. They said Poorun had insisted that he was the only nurse allowed to bring a certain elderly female resident to the bathroom. Screams would be heard when he did.

Lipsett said ‘We all loved Kevin, he was the most fantastic worker in the nursing home. You can’t have eyes in the back of your head, you don’t know what’s going on anywhere unless you’re right there to witness it.

“And if the so-called whistleblowers knew about it, why didn’t they take it to the authorities? Tell the staff nurse, tell the nurse manager? That’s the line of authority and there is a complaints procedure written before everyone’s eyes and they are well aware of it. So it’s very hard to take the allegations seriously.”

She continued “First of all we find it hard to believe that it wasn’t reported. Because anyone who witnesses any form of abuse, any form of incorrect behavior in this nursing home... There is a zero tolerance for bad manners, there is zero tolerance for anything except best practices, that’s the best way of putting it.

‘And the staff know that, and if they saw anything that would upset a patient or would be against company policy they should go to the direct line of authority.’

If she had signed the nursing home over to the airhead sisters then the airhead sisters are the ones who should be up in court of chages relating to abuse? This family sound (and at least some look) utterly grotesque- like the worst type of Essex vapidities.
Her daughters worked, no called in to check how things were going in the home, they had been disciplined before these cases came up by the health board, because some of the eldery had no water to drink, that food was left at their bedside uneaten and cold because they could not feed themselves, also it was said no heating on and elderly were cold. When the healthboard went back to check, two days after, nothing had been rectified. I blame the health board as much as the family for not following up on what they knew was happening then.
What in the name of our Blessed Lord do pretty daughters have to do with abuse in a nursing home? Some folks are really cuckoo !
Her defence is that Cummings never showed up at his disciplinary hearing therefore he must be innocent of charges. I beg to differ. It seems to be a bit of a system in malpractice disciplinaries these days - same thing with the Baby P case in England. The doctor who didn't turn up at her disciplinary hearing at the Medical Council can practise elsewhere as long as she didn't turn up at her hearing. This woman is just being evasive and she sounds like a bit of an arrogant tosser to be honest. Her three daughters show every sign of being cossetted with money. If I had all day every day in my life to be so self-absorbed and vapid I'm sure I'd look good too.
She signed her property over to her daughters, clever lady. she is as guilty as hell. writing a referance which is was, about the man...."I would not re-employ, I would not recommend" She made sure she did not write WHY. Do not bother her or her daughters living the good life, with all the money they made from the eldery while the old were getting abused. Makes me sick.
SOUNDS LIKE THE WEINER DEFENSE!
