More like Dublin was a British city TayandCake, not anymore......founded by the vikings. If you are American look it up............Educate yourself. It goes back over a thousand of years.....
I hope they keep the same products in there The clothes are great sweaters are very greatly priced. I'm on my way back in April
woundedknee, Dublin is a British city don't ya know. They built it
I hope the new owners do well by it.
When i read WoundedKnee comments, it sounds really thick and sounds like it never set foot outside the states in a very long time. you should be embarrassed and i suggest think before you make a comment. Dumbass comes to mind.....
So many irish department stores have been taken over by the english you say woundedknee?? One department store was taking over, Roches by debenhams. You say "The English capitalists see Ireland as just a "region", like Blackpool or Surry. Dublin increasingly is indistinguishable from Manchester or Birmingham. In fact, British tourists when polled said they had no interest in vacationing in Ireland because it was "too similar" to Britain" What a load of crap you say. Ireland receives millions of tourists from Britain every year and has done for the last 20 years and more. Blackpool is a town and It's spelt Surrey is a county, both are not regions.........I bet you have never visited Manchester or Birmingham. Dublin's architecture is more like London, as is it's High Streets.
Sure hope Clerys survives. It's one of my favorite stores in Dublin. So many of the Irish department stores have been taken over by the English. I used to love Roches, and then it was taken over by some English outfit. The English capitalists see Ireland as just a "region", like Blackpool or Surry. Dublin increasingly is indistinguishable from Manchester or Birmingham. In fact, British tourists when polled said they had no interest in vacationing in Ireland because it was "too similar" to Britain.
Wishing the new owners and the transferring employees the best of luck in this venture.
