Portia777 is the usual uninformed bigot . The Catholic Church is not a Roman Church ,nor has the Catholic Church been the malign influence in Ireland that her like constantly portray . When they wanted the nuns to give top class medical attention in hospitals (free unpaid staff for the state )it was ok . When the Christian Brothers taught 75% of the population for nothing it was ok . Then there was order and discipline ,now we have poor standards and social chaos .Dont respond with any cliches or smart alec comments about abuse ,it was totally minimal and having spent 5 years in a boarding school I or any fellow students ,whom I have since surveyed ,never encountered any . The abuse business is very lucrative ! For once park your ill informed predjudice and grow up !
Where does Ireland stand on the immigration issue? If they are more open than, let's say Arizona, maybe the Church can contact Gov. Jan Brewer and see what she has to offer.
We do not need polish Priests. What we need are Irish Women piests. And get rid of of the Bishops Wearing Sirts.Just like they Cross Dress Now
With the shortage of Priest here in the states we have a few at out church. Sometime you can understand them. it takes a lot out of attending for some people
Has the foreign Roman church not been here long enough? We do not need more foreigners to keep the Roman control of Eire going. The days of patriarchal hierarchy are over.
