President Barack Obama has narrow lead over Mitt Romney among Irish American voters in IrishCentral poll

A new survey of Irish American voting intentions in Tuesday’s presidential election has shown a marginal lead for President Obama over his Republican challenger Mitt Romney by 51 per cent to 48 per cent.

Irish plea for emergency donations for Breezy Point residents in need after Hurricane Sandy

The Irish communities of Breezy Point and the Rockaways, in Queens, have been badly hit by Hurricane Sandy. Homes have been destroyed and there is terrible suffering.  The New York Irish Center is now accepting donations of emergency supplies this weekend.
