Irish-American dancers have taken Kerry by storm in the All-Ireland Dance championships, which are taking place this week.

The youngest girls seem especially twinkle-toed. In the Girls 12-13 competition, five of the top 10 dancers are from the US. Schools whose dancers are swiping the prizes include Rince Na Tiarna, the Hagen School of Irish Dance, the Pender-Keady Academy, and the Gray Gillan Owens School.

The Broesler School and the Petri School are faring well too.

Congratulations to all the U.S children of Irish heritage for representing the U.S in such a fine manor. For those who claimed the top spots..Well Done!
If Douglas Hyde could come back and see what a monster he unwittingly created he would die of shame. These kids look like clowns - what is with the wigs and the garish costumes? Tradition?? You must be joking...it's a long way from the aspirations of the Gaelic League. Sad.
God bless them all ,Isn't it wonderful that we have our own stars in our own Gaelic Games, Can you imagine if some of these kids strapped on skates or Ski's what they might achieve hey it's coming.
