All Ireland Irish Dancing Championships in Kerry come to an end

Sunday, appropriately, was the day of ceilis. The Cashel Dennehy girls from Wisconsin won the under 16 junior group, and Notre Dame St. Mary’s of South Bend from Indiana won the ceili club.

Dancers came to Kerry from Ireland, England, and the US, from Maryland to Massachussetts. Most importantly, though, a wonderful time was had by all – that’s if the smiling faces are anything to go by.

Think people should know there is more than 1 All-Ireland for Irish-dancers (step dancers) ... more than 1 Irish-dance organisation! So as far as I'm concerned the All-Ireland hasn't taken place yet - roll on Easter week when the An Comhdháil All-Ireland & International Championships take place in Dublin ... will be genuine smiling faces at that one!! And why is the All-Ireland not just that ... confined to All-Ireland dancers only?
