Baby Blizzard Shocks Gibb Wife

Bookmark and Share

It's been snowing these harsh winter days in merry olde England in more ways than one. Just ask poor Dwina Gibb, the Northern Irish-born bisexual - yes, bisexual - wife of Bee Gee crooner Robin Gibb. Dwina found out that her famous hubby fathered a baby girl named Snow Evelyn Robin Juliet Gibb with the couple's housekeeper who, at 33, is young enough to be 59-year-old Robin's daughter herself. Dwina and Robin have always had an "understanding" throughout their marriage that affairs and threesomes and dalliances were perfectly acceptable . . . but a baby is another thing entirely! Dwina kicked the maid to the curb - or, rather, to a converted barn where Robin is footing the bills - and said that she felt "betrayed" by the baby's arrival, even though Robin and the maid, named Claire Yang, have been having an affair for eight years. Dwina clearly has a very, very high level of tolerance! "It's an incredibly unusual arrangement. At first, Dwina was happy for Robin to sow his oats because it allowed her to stay committed to her Brahman beliefs, but she never expected him to actually plant his seed, as it were," said a friend of the Gibbs to the Sunday Mirror. (Never expected him to plant his seed? LOL!) The source added that Claire continued living with the Gibbs even as she started to show, but when Dwina found out that the planted seed did indeed belong to her hubby she lost it. "When the truth came out, Dwina was furious. To say she hit the roof is an understatement," said the friend. Dwina's no angel herself, though - as she readily admits. She grew up in a Protestant family in Co. Tyrone and has had quite an eccentric career, including stints as an artist, port, running a beanbag factor, and being a Druid priestess. According to a previous profile of her in the London Times, she became the first woman for 300 years to be inaugurated as patroness of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. Her mother, who still lives in Kilskeery, Co. Tyrone, was none too pleased when she found out her daughter dabbled in lesbianism, a private piece of information shared by her husband during a radio interview with - who else? - famous lesbian lover Howard Stern. "I knew she was a lesbian when we married," Gibb said. "It turns me on to see her in bed with other girls." How deep is their love? They've been married for more than 20 years and have a 26-year-old son of their own, and they split their time between mansions in Oxfordshire, England and Miami, where ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a good friend, has stayed as a guest. "We have an open relationship," Dwina said. "Robin has had flings in the past with friends of mine and he talks to me about them. It doesn't worry me because I trust my friends." The hired help, though, is another story.
