Love us or hate us, at least we are not ignored!
Dr Trelawney: Ask eiriamach s/he seems to know everthing about everything...Particulaly gender confusion...!
The Freud quote is almost certainly invented. There is no evidence anywhere that he said it. It would be most out of character.
This is one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever."- Sigmund Freud.LOL I like that one.
At Jack Kennedy's wake. Daniel Patrick Moynihan rushed over and hugged Mary McGrory, the Boston Globe's reporter on Capitol Hill, and said "Oh Mary, Mary....we're not Irish until we realise that this World will eventually break our Hearts".
Thanks for this article and for IC in general. BTW, I heard the Kennedy comment as: "You're not really Irish if you don't know that, sooner or later, the world will break your heart." While that sounds desperate, it's not if you have the Gospel message in your heart and soul.
Through a twist of good fate I was born in Dublin. I could not be prouder than I am to be Irish. With all our faults, trials and troubled history we are, in my humble opinion, the best of what this world has to offer.....
Very good.
I enjoyed reading this article. Thank you.
