Van (Dutch for son of) 'The Man' Morrison - Son of the son of Morris? Who said a white boy can't sing da blues? Love the guys work, he's timless, ageless, very Blues Brothers-esque. With that suit 'n' shades, he's like an amorphous musical muppet. Very talented indeed, great timing and innovation. He's from the unionist/loyalist tradition up north. Married to ex-Miss Ireland Michelle Rocca. Lives on Raglan Road in Dublin, immortalised by Monaghan poet Patrick Kavanagh, and put to music by the Dubliners, and sung equisitely by the late Luke Kelly. "Wrong sie of the road" my favourite. Long may you belt 'em out Van!
