George I can see where you are coming from but Bailey has a point. As a culchie myself I was born into a world of division and those jackeens were no good. I can't say I've overcome that bias yet. And not just because Kerry was in the final against the Dubs it would have been any county but Dublin. It's deep. It was Bill's birthday and he has done more for Ireland than any other president. And I'm glad to say he has Fermanagh roots.
Nobody Care's. Too busy trying to pay the rent.
Any news about U2 suits me fine!
As Laura Ingraham said, "Shut up and sing."
The super rich, I can only pay the bills with no extra. Can we protest his house? Wasn,t he a public employee?
GeorgeDillon that is both unfair and inaccurate. U2 came to symbolise cool Ireland in the late eighties when it was decidedlu uncool. They have symbolised a lot of what the rest of the world has imagined about Ireland and the Irish for a quarter of a century and have made it a lot easier to be Irish abroad as a consequence. Just as Mandela became short hand for a new South Africa Bono and the boys have given out a cultural and artistic aura from which Ireland has benefited greatly.
Bono himself never did anything for the Peace Process. Come to think of it, he never did anything for Ireland. Why is Irish Central so obsessed with him?
On your birthday it is nice to be honored for what you have done and what you stand for!
