Re "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold" Checkpoint Charlie was not shot in Ardmore Studios, it was actually shot in Smithfield, a large open square just north of the Liffey above the Four Courts and for your information the last scene where the main character was shot at the wall was shot in Malpas Street, off Clanbrasil Street below Christ Church.
Wow I did not know this , but great to hear
Very interesting !!!!!!!!!!!!
Fun read!
Very interesting . . . A lot of Braveheart was also filmed in Wicklow. Some of my friends were extras and it was fun watching the Tudors in America and seeing that they used Christchurch Cathedral for many scenes.
Great list. Re Braveheart - Trim Castle was also used for the London scenes, the most notable being the execution. Outside the keep was York and inside was London.
Great information. Thanks!
