While i can think of a few other songs (like donal1951's and TheOldPerfessor's suggestions), i'm mostly curious how Irish Central feels about posting stories like this while also taking issue with the stereotypes of the drunken irish. Not many other "news outlets" are going to post similar stories for other countries...or would they?

Thanks guys, I was about to break out the Clancys & Tommy Makem. 'Ya saved me doin' that. Outstanding music.
What's up wit Ronnie Drew's teeth? I hope he fixed 'em.

Brilliant choice...not sure about Molly Malone or Clancy Bros..Love Pogues and Dubz and Fairytale...The best Iirsh musicians from Diaspora...There's a brilliant electric guitar version of Homes of Donegal by a Chinese or Japanese guy..it really rocks..if anyone knows it can you tell me who it's by?...Brush Shiels version of Fields of Anthenry is fab also...! I remember my mother telling my brother to play Irish Music but of course he didn't listen to her...what a beautiful wise woman she was...Always listen to your mama:-(

I'm more of a traditionalist. What about Sullivan's John by its writer, the Pecker Dunne.

I'd add The Wild Rover by either the Pogues or the Dropkick Murphys.
