Guys, you need to wake up... This is TV3 - they are a commercial station and British run. They specialise in copying and adapting formats for Ireland. Check their website.
Also lighten up - it's a bit of fun.
And to the bitter emigrants - in my opinion, people not wanting to "get on the plane" is something to be admired.
And finally... by sh1tting on this show your sh1tting on the commercial over the top epicentre of American culture (which by the way I love)!!!
And very finally - There is some US TV that is infinitly worse than anything Ireland could ever dream of producing and I include Fair City in that!!!

It is kind of ironic in a way. So many Irish-Americans get criticized by the Irish in Ireland for trying to be Irish and "acting Irish", and being told repeatedly that they are not Irish, and yet it is perfectly OK for them to adapt dare I say aspire to be trashy English or American. The Irish in Ireland can laugh all they want at middle aged Irish-Americans in green pants suits and Clancy brother sweaters, but let me tell you, it is just as funny to see Irish woman with massive over done hair, and baked on make up, and Irish guys running around with American logo sweat shirts, baseball hats worn back wards, and bling, drinking Budweiser, telling us we are not Irish, while they try so hard to be American. You cannot have it both ways.

Being TallaTrash is nothing to be proud of. Viewed by people who are too mediocre and too thick to emigrate. Same goes for the 'actors' I'd say. If you are stuck with Irish TV this Christm. you've got put up with a Jedward Special and a Mrs Brown bumper episode - I'm out of there already!

Rubbish of the first order. Why do Irish people feel they must sink to this level? Next we'll have 'best cribs of Ireland' or 'megawhacko 21st birthday bashes' on the tv.

Good timing. Nothing like bread and circuses while Ireland sinks into the mire. Perhaps expensive tourist packages could be sold for salacious foreigners who want in on the staged action in this neighborhood. Create a kind of Disney World for the lewd and lascivious. Make Irish cheerful depravity a destination. Monetarize dumbness.

Just one more sign of the Irish aping and copying the worst of American and English culture. The Irish (in Ireland) still have a huge inferiority complex.

I feel bad for Ireland if they had to sink to the Jersey Shore level to provide t.v. entertainment. I always have and always will think Jersey Shore is a bunch of trash. All the show does is promote drinking, cussing, and violence. None of the cast has any class.

We hit rock bottom a long time ago with the garbage on our television. At one time we had sit com's that were terrific. The great studio one that brought us great drama with wonderful acting, funny shows like Luci and Desi, how about Gunsmoke, rawhide etc. How did we get to this disgusting behavior that makes millions for dumb bimbo's that are immoral and this is what our kids watch. Ireland I'm sorry this has come to you but I hope if you don't watch these train wrecks hopefully they will go away.

The original is garbage. This is imitation garbage but the stink is just as bad. These jerks do not care how they embarass their families as long as they get famous for 15 minutes. No doubt it will be a hit. Like any trainwreck people are unable to look away.

A Spokesperson for TV3 says " It will be the main talking point over the festive season"...
So the Irish have nothing to talk about except this show..
What a dimwit..
