The Billboard 200, released this week, contained a couple of surprises, including the fact that Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” has outsold Susan Boyle’s “The Gift”. However Boyle did manage to come out ahead of Michael Jackson’s “Michael”.
Swift’s sales went up by 30 percent this week selling a total of 259,000 copies. This means she knocked Boyle’s “The Gift” off the top after she dominated the charts for all of December.
Michael Jackson’s posthumous release “Michael” sold 220,000 which is slightly higher than what was predicted earlier this week (190,000). However, earlier this month there had been projections that it would sell 400,000 copies.

It's amazing the race was as close as it was considering Swift was seen on several prime time television shows in the US.
