One interesting point - Susans appearance on AGT has been kept quiet. It was not known until a week before that she was going to be taping in the US. I'm positive her appearance was kept quiet because they didnt want Lou Reed to find out about it. Susan only has herself to blame for trying to pull the wool over Lou's eyes. She can't take someone else's song and make it her own when she wants. She's allowing her fans to think she's bigger than what she is and in the end she will be the one will lose big time. There a loads of these reality talent show acts some of which are better than Susan Boyle.

One nice thing about having money is - you dont need money and Lou Reed doesnt need Susan's money and he doesnt have to whore himself out to Simon either. Susan is not big enough to have smart people who know how to get permission before she leaves the UK. She got what she paid for.

What CLoghry1938 said. I've hear Susan rendition of this song and it has never sounded better. It has been recorded by over 50 other artists so what's his problem? Sounds like he was backstabbing Simon Cowall rather than Susan. What a dope this guy is. Susan's recording is worth millions to any song writer should she choose their music. What a shame.

I laughed my socks off when 40 fans showed to watch Susan and there was no Susan. One fan complained: 'There were droves and droves of us from CA and Europe who stood in line for hours to watch Susan perform.' Droves and droves to me is like hundreds. Forty fans miraculously turned into hundreds? How much time do backing singers need to learn a new song? How much time did they need to learn Perfect Day? I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time but only SuBo would make a big issue out of it. BTW - nice picture of Susan for a change.

This was very sad indeed. We may never know exactly what happened, but I would have supposed that any song writer worth their salt would love to have Susan record their song. Susan resurrected Wild Horses last year and Mick Jagger was very gracious and complimentary because he realized they had a win-win situation. Sadly, Mr Reed could have had the same boon to what appears to be a fading career. Whoever made this colossal mistake, Susan is the one paying for it. But make no mistake, she will overcome this as she has so many other unfair obstacles in her life, will have a brilliant second album and will continue to thrill millions with that glorious voice.

I looked up this song at a site where they had it recorded on the internet to refresh my memory. It was boring and drab. Boyle could only improve on it by singing it.
Lou Reed is a jerk. Also, you don't disprove something at the last minute so a person can't have anything to do at their job. That is so mean! I saw someone comment humorously at another site that "Lou Reed will burn in hell". I concur.
