Well, this is going to be a great year. "Lincoln" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" are both appearing on the big screen. Talk about ironic. Haha.

The colkelley's remarks shows a lack of knowledge of the people and times during Lincoln's lifetime. Lincoln's believes on the question of slavery reflect the general attitude of most Americans at the time. Read your history.

Lots of "A Lincoln's" out there. Of course Lincoln was only bearded from shortly before his becoming President until his death. How many "A. Lincoln's" out there without beards? Wonder how close Day-Lewis would be to Lincoln without the beard? One my non Irish ancestors, Frederick Wood, entertained A Lincoln at his home in Bridgeport, CT with dinner on 10 Mar 1860 before Lincoln spoke at Washington Hall in Bridgeport. Lincoln traveled in a carriage manufactured by Frederick Wood's company Wood Brothers Carriages (plant in Bridgeport and show room in NYC on Broadway)the night he was assassinated in Washington DC in April 1865. The Wood Brothers Lincoln carriage is now at the Studebaker National Museum in Indiana.
