Perfume maker Coty is suing a Long Island perfume company for the unauthorized sale of Sarah Jessica Parker’s "Lovely" scent.

Coty, the” Sex in the City” siren's’s perfume maker, who hold the trademark, has started court proceedings against Farmingdale, Long Island-based Universal Perfumes & Cosmetics for trademark violations.

Coty has sent letters to Universal to stop selling the product but now the issue will go to the courts.

SJP launched the scent in 2005 and has released five different perfumes with her name on it since then.

In other "Sex and the City" news, thousands of  hopefuls turned up for auditions in Chelsea for a walk-on part in the sequel to last year's hit "Sex and the City" movie.

The franchise's popularity shows no sign of abating as legions of ladies dolled up to the nines, preened and posed for a possible career-launching background role in the film.
