Rooney Mara stars in new Steven Soderbergh thriller ‘Side Effects’
Film to hit theaters in February - VIDEO
Following her success in last year’s film adaptation of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,’ Irish American actress Rooney Mara is back for another thriller in 2013’s ‘Side Effects.’
The trailer for the new film boasts a thrilling story with a stellar cast. Mara will be joined onscreen with Channing Tatum, Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

IMDB says the film tells the story of a woman (Mara) who turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband's upcoming release from prison.
Steven Soderbergh, who won an Oscar for his work on ‘Traffic’ in 2000, is directing the film. Similarly, Mara was nominated for her turn in ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ in the Best Leading Actress category, but lost to Meryl Streep for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher. Could this mean some early Oscar buzz for the ‘Side Effects’?
Aside from ‘Side Effects,’ Mara is also slotted to reprise her role of Lisbeth Salander in the next ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ installment of ‘The Girl Who Played with Fire.’
