Regis Philbin, Alec Baldwin, Conan O’Brien and Jane Lynch receive Emmy Nominations
The Irish Americans were generously recognized in the Primetime Emmy Awards Nominations.
Regis Philbin received a nominations as part of the “Live with Regis and Kelly” in the talk show category.
Alec Baldwin was nominated for his role as Jack Donaghy in “30 Rock”.
"The Tonight Show" with then-host Conan O'Brien has been nominated in the best variety-series category.
Jane Lynch also received a nomination for her role as tough coach in “Glee”.
The announcement of all the nominations brought some happy surprises for the newcomers “Modern Family” and “Glee” but the winner of the group was HBO’s “Pacific” which received 24 nominations. AMC’s drama “Mad Men” received 17 nominations.
The Primetime Emmy’s will take place on August 29 on NBC. Jimmy Fallon will host the show.
