joycean, of course there is something wrong; James has AS. Seizures and the inability to speak go along with the syndrome. Re-read the article.

If James has seizures ans can't speak, there is something wrong. Better to be honest and see what can be done.

For a while after my father's death I cared for my older brother, Tommy, who born with mental retardation. Like Collin's experience with his son James, I got outside myself. It was the best and most rewarding time in my life.
