Former Oasis singer, Liam Gallagher and his new band, Beady Eye, have released their first track, “Bring the Light”.
The song is modeled on 1960s rock n’ roll sounds, with blues piano riff and obvious echoes of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Liam Gallagher is the lead singer, backed by female accompaniment.
So far the responses to the track have been quite positive. NME.com have described it as “a seize-the-moment anthem about love and booze … that and is based on a hammering rock n' roll riff.”
Beady Eye, Liam’s new band is made up of Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock. The band was formed after Oasis split in August 2009 following the departure of guitarist Noel Gallagher.
