Other Oscar awarding-winning portrayals include Judi Dench as Queen Elizabeth I in 'Shakespeare in Love.' Colin Firth also won an Oscar for his portrayal of King George VI, in 'The King’s Speech.'  Reese Witherspoon also won an Oscar when she played June Carter Cash in 'Walk the Line.'

Taking inspiration from the Daniel Day Lewis’ award winning performance IrishCentral went to NYC’s famous Broadway district to ask people: “If your life was turned into a movie, which Hollywood star would play you?”

Popular choices included Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, George Clooney and Tom Cruise.
