Olivia Wilde is grateful for her Irish roots – SEE PHOTOS + VIDEOS
 
“House” actress Olivia Wilde has been signed up to star alongside “Star Trek’s” Chris Pine in “Welcome to People”.
 
Wilde, who was most recently involved in “Tron” and “Cowboys & Aliens” will star alongside Pine and Elizabeth banks in this family drama. The move tells the story of a businessman (Pine) who returns home from his father’s funeral to discover his sister (Banks) with a 12-year-old son. Wilde will play Pine’s girlfriend.
 
Alex Kurtman who co-wrote “Star Trek” and “Cowboys” is directing the movie. He also wrote this screenplay with Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert. This is his directorial debut.
 
Production will begin in L.A. this month.
