Actress Minka Kelly reveals in the October issue of Cosmopolitan magazine that she had a "pretty complicated" relationship" with her stripper mother.
The 31-year-old 'Charlie's Angels' star recalled her mother Maureen Kelly, who died from colon cancer in 2008, reports MSN's Wonderwall.
"She was 5'11"," she said. "Legs up to her ears, gorgeous. She got along on that for as long as she could."

Her mother raised Minka as a single parent. The actress's father, former guitarist Rick Dufay, "wanted to try the family thing," says Kelly, but her mom "was too busy having fun."
"It wasn't like he didn't want to be part of our lives," she adds.
"I didn't know how to appreciate what good friends we were," Kelly admits. "Because I just wanted her to be my mom."
Minka made peace with her mother before her death.
"By the time she passed I was holding her," Kelly says. "I was with her until her last breath. We made it."

I'm glad that the break up was amicable. I'm a big Yankee fan, and it's nice to see how Derek Jeter has remained single, and always treated his girlfriends with respect. Concerning Minka'a late mom, some guys only choose to see one side of the stripper lifestyle. Sure the sensuality is there, but it is nearly always for the purpose of exploiting the strippers' male admirers. Few, if any of these girls would ever date a guy who observed them in a strip club. They only seek to extract $ from the admiring fans. Then, consider the itinerant nature of Maureen Kelly's profession, and how young Minka was always "on the go", and never able to settle in a community, with kids around her own age. I admire Maureen for raising Minka as a single mom, but it would have been better had Minka been reared under more stable circumstances.
