Michael Flatley brightens lives of 240 sick children in Ireland
Irish dance legend Michael Flatley and his family got the season of good will and peace to all men off to a great start by being guest of honor at Fota House's Winter Wonderland, which hosted 240 sick children from Cork hospitals for an early Christmas.
Flatley provided 14 of his finest cars to take the children out of the wards and into the Winter Wonderland for a day.
Accompanied by his wife Niamh and his son, Michael Jr., Flatley spend time with the brave kids before he embarks on a grueling sold out tour in the Far East.
"It doesn't get any better than this," said the fleet footed Flatley as he watched his two-year-old hang out with the kids.
The 51-year-old will have to enjoy these quiet moments enjoying kids having fun, as he will be hard at work over the next few weeks, with eight performances in Taiwan and a host of personal appearance requests in other countries in the region.
Once his work is done, Flatley will head home with his family to spend Christmas Day in his Castlehyde Estate in Cork.
"I will certainly have earned my pint by the time I have finished these shows," quipped the Chicago native.
For giving the children something positive to think about as they combat illness, Flatley well merits that Christmas tipple!
