Mel Gibson and foul mouthed, bad tempered outbursts, they're never far from each other are they? What is it with swaggering leading men and childish temper tantrums?

This week the actor, director and producer reportedly unleashed a verbal tirade against his ex-girlfriend - who captured it all on tape - that's allegedly so foul-mouthed and threatening that it will probably end not only his acting career, but opportunities for 'Icon,' his production company.

For the last four years, Gibson has hoped to sidestep the shockingly anti-Semitic remarks he spewed when arrested for drunken driving. But the new tirade, apparently recorded by his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and now part of an ongoing custody battle, brings all that right back up.

Both TMZ.com and RadarOnline.com claim to have heard the tape, in which Gibson calls Grigorieva a variety of things, among which 'whore' was one of the less unpleasant. Shockingly he also used the N-word and reportedly threatened to burn down her home.

Gibson tried his best to distance himself from his previous ethnic slurs, and his lawyer has branded previous allegations by Grigorieva as false. But in Hollywood you don't, repeat don't, make hateful ethnic or racial slurs and expect a free pass. Gibson's outburst will bring as much heat and negative attention as possible to both himself and his production company.

When people finally decide you're a totally unpleasant piece of work, you can't act surprised that they don't want to work with you.

charactor assasination is part of the game in hollywood,sure mel gibson let loose a few times , but when you weigh in on mel gibson the actor ,movies like "the patriot" and "braveheart" etc you have to judge the man by his talent ,its easy to muckrake and smear someone but theres ample evidence that that oksana broad entrapped mel gibson by provoking him and recording him because she knew he had a temper, she was a penniless alien and he got her a "green card " to live in the states and bought her a house and still the "gold digger wanted more so with the help of a shyster lawyers advice she entraps and records his outbursts , go figure !

Just for the record, I kinda believe that the tapes were tampered with. I have seen a pattern in the mass media recently: It seems like we are no longer aloud to have any heroes anymore. Whether it be Mel or a guy like Tiger Woods, anyone that appears to be a role model is immediately attacked and destroyed by the paparazzi or character assassinated in some way. Anyway, I really loved most of his movies, they were uplifting, especially "Braveheart".

Most of the creative artistic types travel a different path and act out in passionate ways, especially if they have alcohol issues. If you are a celebrity, you are going to have a target on your back...But in the end who really cares? He is in the private sector not taking a penny from the taxpayer, living and dying by his own decisions, not dragging us down with him in corruption and sell outs like our politicians do. For that, I don't give a fig what he does, he's not the boss of me.

I wish the people in the media would just leave Mel Gibson alone. he is a great actor and has brought millions and millions of dollars to Hollywood. why does the media ALWAYS print the bad things about people and never any of the good things. why don't you start printing some of the many good things that Mel Gibson has done for this world. he is only human and a good one at that. I am so sick of these kinds of stories.

So freaking WHAT!- This IC virtual rag's blond ambition is to be The Sun, The Globe and the National Enquirer put together, except... it has none of their "intellect and depth" and NONE of their money. -- Wow, it's such a surprise to find out that Mel Gibson swears at a gold digger who's trying to take him for half of his earnings! I mean... who would have thunk!!! -- And didn't H'wood's financiers put a target on his back from the time Gibson made The Passion of the Christ without their help and made over 1/2 Bill in the process, then dared disparage jews in a drunken rant??-- This is just scaffolding to build a case to leave him pennyless, and a few more nails for what the gossipy gay media hopes will be his coffin.

Mel has really lost it. He was such a talent, but his refusal to go with modern Catholic ritual and was lock stepped into the old Latin rituals, indicates he cannot move into the 21st century or to welcome changes. That he had a child out of wed-lock speaks to his warped judgemts. The lady did not drug him into sleeping w/ her and now he has the gaul to call her names. What a hypocrit.

What about all the evil things the Jews did to Mel regarding his Passion movie? Were Jewish actions not reprehensible, racist, anti Christian, intolerant and bigoted as well as Un American? I'm sick of the double standards. I'm sick of those who are out to get anyone who dares to speak in public about the behavior of Jews. They do start wars. They destroyed the reputation of another famous man, Charles Lindbergh, because he did not wish the US to enter WW2. Now Jews are decimating the White race in the ME. I LOVE MEL GIBSON. Wasn't it RadarOnline.com that first reported that Jonathan Rhys Meyers used the "n" word at JFK that got everyone rolling about whether he was a racist or not? No doubt that JRM was drunk and verbally abusive but did he really use the "n" word? I don't know...I wasn't there but I don't believe everything reported by RadarOnline. I want to see some other sources confirm what RadarOnline reports. I'm skeptical like you, yjustme.
