Maureen O’Hara’s 90th birthday bash a Hollywood blowout

I was delighted to see how lovely Ms. O'Hara looks! I want to send her a rock from the Abbey in Cong from a visit last year with my brother Ronald. Ronald lives in Dromore and we took the trip to see where our favorite Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne movie was filmed. We had our picture taken in the abbey and the photographer asked Ronald what his name was and he said "Duke" .... it got a laught or two! The movie, "The Quiet Man," was filmed, according to Ms.O'Hara, spent six weeks shooting the exteriors in Ireland and filmed the interiors on sound stages in L.A. The movie, though made in 1951, was Republic's first production to be shot outside the United States, and it was released in 1952. Maureen and the Duke are/were the best!

I met her in Glengarriff at her 82 birthday at the Golf club and have the picture to prove it. She is beautiful at any age. Happy Birthday, Maureen
