LAst night I saw a few minutes of an old movie I have never heard of....something to do with pirates. The scene was Maureen O'Hara climbing on board the pirate ship and she was absolutley stunning. I've always thought she was beautiful but something about her in this scene was breathtaking. Happy Birthday, Maureen!
I think Ms O'Hara was and still is the most beautiful woman in the world. I, too, have seen all of her movies. She and John Wayne go together like Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers. They complement each other quite nicely. Ms. O'Hara I hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday and many more. You are Ireland's treasure. P.S. 2Bornot2B just take it easy. You time is coming.
I think that Maureen is a classical, beautiful woman with charm, elegance, poise and about all talent loads and loads of talent! I hve see every moving she ever starred in, co-starred in or cameoed in. Sometimes I have seen the same movies several times and more. My favorites are "The Quiet Man", McClintock, "How Green is my Valley" oh there are just too many I love and watch over and over again. Happy Birthay Dearest Maureen O'Hara and thank you for all the entertainment you have given us in your life time. God Bless you and Keep you.

J.Travis, in an interview years ago Maureen said that John Ford, the director of The Quiet Man, told her what to whisper in Wayne's ear, to her many protests and his insistence, she finally agreed on the condition that the two of them never tell a soul what she said. Apparently Ford wanted a certain reaction from Wayne, and thought the secret would get him the shocked expression he was going for. If I remember right that man is one of her two real life brothers that were in the movie.
Maureen, "The older the fiddle, the sweeter the tune".
