Mark Wahlberg is in negotiations to star in Universal’s adaptation of 2 Guns
Studio replaces Vince Vaughn
Universal picked up the rights to 2 Guns in 2008 as a project for Vince Vaughn, but it now appears Mark Whalberg may take over the job.
The film tells the story of a DEA agent and an undercover Naval Intelligence officer who unwittingly investigate each other and who end up stealing mob money for the good guys.
Only later do the unsuspecting duo realize that it's actually the mob who got them to steal $50 million dollars from the CIA.
Universal is looking for a winter start for 2 Guns which means Vaughn, the star of the recent Universal flop The Dilemma, is no longer involved in the film.
