Showbiz mogul Louis Walsh went back to work as the man who falsely accused him of sexual assault was released from police custody on bail.

Leonard Watters, a 24-year-old dancer from Navan in County Meath, was granted bail on condition that he stay away from Walsh.

He has been charged with supplying false information to police and could face jail for wasting police time after falsely accusing Walsh of groping him in a nightclub toilet.

Westlife manager Walsh has returned to work as a judge on the UK version of the X Factor and appeared in chirpy humor as he attended auditions in the Welsh capital Cardiff.

“I am delighted to be back to the work after a very distressing time,” Walsh told reporters outside his hotel.

“I’m delighted. It is great to be here and get on with the show again. We’re here to find a star. That’s what we do.

“This whole episode has been very disturbing and I will continue to fight to clear my name after these completely false allegations.”
