Lindsay Lohan uses Twitter to quash psych ward rumors

Megan Fox doesn't want to get on Twitter but Lindsay Lohan reckons it's the only way to combat the constant rumor mill.

Lohan is now using Twitter to fight back against the rumors which keep attaching themselves to the wacky starlet.

The most recent one doing the rounds said Lohan had been hospitalized in a psych ward.

However, Lohan - who is currently filming "Machete" with Jack Nicholson and Jessica Alba - fired back at her tormentors through Twitter.

Early Thursday, Lohan tweeted that she most definitely was not in psych ward.

"Hahahaha my publicist just called me & said she heard I was in a psych ward!!!! Hahaha WHAT IS WRONG with people???? I'm working lol."

The 23-year-old who has already spent well publicized time in rehab and the emergency room said she thought she'd heard it all.

"BUT that's one I've NEVER heard about myself before! New ones r always interesting huh? There's SO much more going on in the world! Wake up."

Lohan is also posting pictures from the weird world of Lindsay on twitterpics along with random shout-outs to on-again off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Go to http://twitpic.com/photos/sevinnyne6126 to see more.

Lindsay's not the only Lohan using the web to try and control her image. Her mom Dina has launched www.LohanHouse.com to try and control the stories about her family.

Dina has divided the site up into rooms and while Lindsay's "room" isn't ready yet her younger sister Ali's is.

In the room, Dina takes a swipe at the people who have already targeted Ali.

"There are "Mean Girls," and then there are mean girls - like two of Ali Lohan's former classmates, who made a catty video about her and then posted it on the Internet," Dina says.

Methinks it's time for the world to stand back from the Lohans. Looks like they are getting ready to fight back!
