Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan is keeping a brave face after her French fashion debut was roundly panned.

Lohan, who was hired by the French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro as "artistic advisor," was blasted when the Lohan-inspired collection hit the French fashion collections.

But Lindsay's keeping her Irish up.

She says the experience was “like a fairy tale” even as fashion critics dubbed it a nightmare and industry bible Women's Wear Daily called her designs “an embarrassment.”

Lohan is refusing to let the brickbats get to her.

“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I didn’t expect everyone to be completely loving the collection. It is the same with everything I have done. I knew that people were going to target me. I am a target. I don’t know why I am, but I am, and I accept that. I just don’t pay attention to it.”

"I really have a great appreciation for designers, and all the work that goes into one piece of clothing, and how expressive it can be,” she sayd.

“This is more personal to me. It is more about who I am and what I want to say as a person through clothing.”

“It was such a surreal experience and I think I was emotional probably for the entire week, but when we walked out, it was a good feeling."
