Liam Neeson to star in cancer comedy
Liam Neeson will add 'comedian' to his acting resume when he guest stars in 'The Big C,' a new comedy about cancer.
As subjects for comedy go, cancer is pretty far down the list, but we don't doubt his talent.
In addition to the strikingly tall Irishman, Reid Scott, Laura Linney, John Benjamin Hickey, Oliver Platt and Gabourey Sidibe will also be starring in the new Showtime series.
Cathy (Linney) is a mild-mannered suburban mom/schoolteacher who, upon being diagnosed with cancer, decides to 'grab life by the you-know-what's.'
Paul (Platt) is Cathy's juvenile husband who has no idea his wife is even sick, and Sean (Hickey) is Cathy's brother who ascribes to the belief that sanity, permanent housing, and deodorant are overrated. Andrea (Sidibe) is the mean girl who offers Cathy a new perspective on life and how to survive it.
The 'Big C' airs Monday, August 16th at 10:30pm after 'Weeds' on Showtime.
