Liam Neeson set to star in new thriller

Irish actor signs on for 'Unknown White Male'

Irish acting favorite Liam Neeson has signed on to star in another thriller movie entitled “Unknown White Male.”

The actor, whose surprise success film “Taken” recently topped national sales and rental charts, will play a doctor who slips into a coma, only to wake up and discover that his identity has been stolen by another man.

The action film, from “Orphan” director Jaume Collet-Serra, features Neeson in a familiar role: the good, honest man frantically searching for the truth.

The Dark Castle/Warner Bros. project is from a script by Karl Gajdusek, and shooting is due to begin in January in Berlin, where the film is set.

It seems that Neeson has been signing on to movie roles left and right. He is playing Zeus alongside good friend Ralph Fiennes, who’s portraying Hades in "Clash of the Tiatans."

He’s also set to star as “Hannibal” Smith in the film version of “The A-Team” and as Abraham Lincoln in a biopic about the American president.

The Ballymena native will next be seen in the thriller “Chloe,” which is scheduled to premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.

Before starting work on "Clash of the Titans," Neeson spent some time with his sons in St. Tropez in the South of France, which was his late wife Natasha Richardson's favorite holiday spot.
