The Irish want to see if they can read Lady Gaga's poker face

Pop princess Lady Gaga has been personally invited to play at Ireland’s Poker Festival this week.

The festival, hosted by bookmaker Ladbrokes, attracts a host of poker pros from around the world, but they have saved a special seat for the “Poker Face” singer in the main competition, where the winner will take home a guaranteed prize pool of €250,000 ($366,000).

Kate McLennan of Ladbrokes said they’d love for Gaga to attend, saying: “Everyone wants to know is if Lady Gaga can make sweet music on the green baize.” Festival organizers are even willing to make room for Gaga’s touring partner Kanye West, if he’s willing to escort her.

The singer has yet to confirm if she’ll attend and show the Irish that they “can’t ready my poker face,” and that “a little gambling is fun when you’re with me.”

The Irish Poker Festival takes place in Killarney, County Kerry from October 2 to 4. Shane Lynch, a member of the Irish boyband Boyzone has already confirmed that he will take part in the competition.
