Abrams has collaborated with ‘Shaun of the Dead’ director, Edgar Wright, for his latest production.
According to Journal.ie, filming of the production will take place at Ringsend Waste Water Plant next Saturday in South Dublin.
The science fiction movie follows six people who are transported to a post-apocalyptic future and find themselves in a race against time to save present day mankind.
The multi platform project will combine a TV and web series, as well as mobile games and online graphic novels.
IFTN reports that the web series was shot in Portugal last year.
Dublin based production company beActive are working on the project. beActive’s co-founder Triona Campbell told IFTN: “We are pleased to offer sci-fi fans a brand new transmedia project. The elements that make up this innovative and engaging storyline demonstrate beActive’s continued commitment to telling narrative across multiple platforms.
“The complexity of the characters and the journey they take makes this a real sci-fi spectacular, guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat."
