I think "Kill the Irishman" was an outstanding movie. It should have made the list!
The Town was awful.Another woeful attempt to emulate the mob scene in NY.Bostons inferiority complex runs deep, even to gangster flicks.
My favs are the old James Cagney movies, but I must defend Gamgs of New York, despite historical inaccuracies. It was a fine motion picture that I enjoyed greatly, and I am not normally a Leonardo Di Caprio fan.
Apart from describing Irish criminals in America as organized, which is hilarious, why "celebrate" "Gangs of New York." It's based on a Nativist anti-Irish tract written by Herbert Asbury, as in Asbury Park once headquarters of the New Jersey KKK.
