Irish actor Chris O’Dowd is said to be one of four recently added to the cast of “Knocked Up” spin-off, “This is Forty.” After his role in the hit movie “Bridesmaids,” O’Dowd is set to be in negotiations to reunite with director Judd Apatow, for the upcoming sequel.

Some of Apatow’s alum are said to also in talks to join the cast such as Lena Dunham, Charlyne Yi, and Wyatt Russell, the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, reported Variety.

The film will also star “Knocked Up” originals Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd, who will reprise their roles as married couple Debbie and Peter. Chris O’Dowd and Len Dunham will be acting as employees at the Indie record label Paul owns, while Russell will be playing a hockey player. Megan Fox and Albert Brooks have also been previously linked to the film, but no confirmation on their roles has been released.

 O’Dowd has entertained a large number of offers since playing Kristen Wiig’s law-enforcing love interest in Universal’s Apatow-produced “Bridesmaids.” He previously appeared in “Dinner for Schmucks” and has recently started working in BBC mini “The Crimson Petal and the White.”   O’Dowd has also recently wrapped Jennifer Westfeldt’s indie comedy “Friends with Kids.”

“This is Forty” is set to start filming and production this summer and is expected to hit theaters December of 2012.
