Irish director John Moore gets to work on Bruce Willis' 'Die Hard 5'
“A Good Day to Die Hard” uses some Irish help
“A Good Day to Die Hard” is set to be the fifth installment of the 23-year-old “Die Hard” series, and the film will feature Irish director John Moore, and, of course, Bruce Willis as John McClane. In addition to featuring an Irishman behind the scenes, the film has also hired Dublin-based post-production company Screen Scene to help them out.

The movie is set to take place in Russia, where McClane is attempting to save his son from a terrorist plot, according to The Examiner. His estranged son Jack has found himself caught up in the “daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader,” reads the official plot synopsis, “and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”
But Moore isn’t the only Irishman involved in the movie’s production; at Screen Scene in Dublin, the Irish team is currently working on previsualization effects for the flick, IFTN reported.
Hubert Montag, lead Animator at Screen Scene, explained his company’s excitement for working with the movie with, “This is AWESOME, just awesome…pure awesomeness!”
Screen Scene supervisor Ed Bruce added, “We’re so excited to be involved and to have this opportunity to wok again with John Moore and to translate his vision to this feature. It’s going to be epic!”
The movie will be released on Feb 14, 2013.
