Minka Kelly stepped onto the set of “The Butler” to play the role of former First Lady of America Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Dressed in a signature shift dress, string of pearls, and pill-box the 32-year-old Irish American looked every bit as stylish as former president John F Kennedy's wife.

The “Charlie’s Angels” actress was snapped as she emerged from her trailer on the New Orleans set.

Mila Kunis had been originally eyed for the role of the style icon. The last Hollywood star to play the role of the First Lady was Katie Holmes in the 2011 miniseries “The Kennedys”.

“The Butler” is based on the true story of Eugene Allen, who worked as head butler for eight different White House presidents during his 50-year tenure. Allen died of renal failure, aged 90, at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park.

Forest Whitaker will play the role of Allen and Oprah Winfrey will portray his wife.

Director Lee Daniels spoke to Screen Daily about the movie. He said “I connected with it because it is ultimately a father son story with a civil rights backdrop. In my lifetime there were separate water fountains, swimming pools and toilets for blacks. People forget that. This is such an exciting journey for me.”

The film's cast includes Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower; Alan Rickman as Ronald
Reagan  and James Marsden  as John F. Kennedy. Other big names include Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda, John Cusack, Lenny Kravitz, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
