No. 13 should be "The Informer", the 1935 movie set in 1920's Dublin, from the novel by Irishman Liam O'Flaherty, with Oscars for Victor McLaglen and John Ford. IMO, DDL was robbed in "Gangs of New York"--his best role ever.

Correction: Daniel Day Lewis did not win an Oscar for Gangs of New York, even though he was nominated for it. Fact checking info like this isn't too difficult.

great list and # 12 should be "Six Shooter" by Martin McDonagh the winner of 2005 live action short. Then of course there are a a couple of dozen other nominations which deserve mentions. I wonder how many nomination we can come up with??

Great list. No. 11 should be, of course, the Galway and Mayo filmed classic, "The Quiet Man" which yielded two Academy Awards for 1953, including best cinematography and best director for the great Irish American director John Ford.
