Our Gaelic Girl Lauren took to the streets of Galway, after she dismounted her beautiful horse, to ask Americans living and visiting Galway, “What is your favorite thing about Galway?”

Of course, the magical city of Galway hasn’t disappointed our friends from across the pond. From the beautiful surroundings to the warm and friendly people, to the “craic”, it’s no wonder so many people fall in love with the ancient, lively hub.

What also struck their attention was how much fun there is to be had in Galway. The city has a huge student population and there’s always something fun to do from a quick pint on Shop Street to theatre and music gigs.

One of the ladies summed it up perfectly “Everyone’s just happy to be here”.

Here’s the video of Lauren out on the streets of Galway:

jimod, would the word ''fun'' be more to your liking?
Yes Galway is a great place - a curious mixture of ultra-ancient and extra-new. However this obsession with the word "craic" is boring me to death, as was the phrase "Celtic Tiger".
We were there in '06 and loved the place. The film festival, Eyre Square, great people, beautiful scenery; perfect.
Makes me miss home! You can take the girl out of Galway but you can't take Galway out of the girl.
Always loved the Salthill area, because of the current the water is warmer there also.
They also left out 'perfect' & 'you're fine', both endearing little Irish uterrances.
Oh yes, Galway is perfection for me. We love the people and the scenery. We have watched the sun go down over Galway Bay and the moonlight reflect on it. Beautiful. Food is great too!
The Gaelic girls should feature Harry and Alfie and other young songwriters/singers. Alfie's great at step dancing too.
Great theater. ... And there really is nothing like the sun going down on Galway Bay. ... They left out Brilliant. ... The Gaelic Girls are fun, and they edit their videos very well, nice and brisk but we get the flavor.
