First stills from Colin Farrell’s movie ‘The Way Back' released
Irish hunk Colin Farrell may not have been a good enough singer to make it with Boyzone back in the day, (click here), but the 33-year-old is a prolific A-list actor, and stills from his latest movie “The Way Back” have just been released.
Farrell stars with the great Ed Harris in a movie that tells the story of prisoners who escape from the Siberian Gulag in 1940.
The movie is fact based and one of the sources that was used to prime information about the escape was "The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom," a book by Slavomir Rawicz.
The book tells the story of a group of the prisoners escape from captivity by the Red Army in a voyage that would see them traverse the Siberian Arctic, cross the Gobi desert and head through the Himalayas before ending up in Tibet and India.
Rising Irish star Saoirse Ronan also stars in the movie, which is slated for a 2010 release.
