SPOILERS ALERT -
After weeks of waiting finally it’s here, the first look at Irish “Glee Project” winner Damian McGinty’s “Glee” debut. The new clip shows one of the first scene’s from November 1’s show, where Irish exchange student, Rory Flanagan, is getting to know Finn.
As we suspected the clip revealed that Derry native McGinty is in fact pretending to be a leprechaun. Nothing stereotypical or weird there then!
Also poor auld Flanagan seems a little touched asking Finn “will you be my friend”. At the very least Flanagan seems to have verbal diarrhea.

The plot goes that McGinty arrives at McKinley High as foreign exchange student. McGinty is star struck when he meets Finn as he recognizes him from the YouTube video of Finn and Rachel making out at the Nationals.
McGinty goes on to explain that in an effort to get to make out with Brittany he’s pretending to be a Leprechaun granting her three wishes. In the clip he’s busily making an all marshmallow box of Lucky Charms.

He can act and sing; He did a good job on Glee but the show leaves an awful lot to be desired.

Damian is wonderful, the script is very disappointing--not surprising as it comes from "Glee". I hope Damian moves on and away from this very quickly; he is too good a performer and person to stick with "Glee". Best of luck, Damian, thousands and thousands of Americans are rooting for you - take the high road!!

Damian's version of Bein' Green is nothing short of brilliant!

While I'm happy that Damian is getting a chance to be on a popular TV show, I have reservations about the script, so far. I'll try to watch this episode because I think Damian McGinty is a strong performer. Can he overcome poor writing, is the real question.
