make that polite and genteel gravitas...
Dear IC, there's a lot wrong with this piece, as previous posters have ably pointed out... (I particularly like the measured gravitas that always arrives from eamonndublin) Seriously, please take a careful look at what is coming from your readers... They and I feel you are drifting off track - this piece is just particularly egregious - and running any sort of trashy story with the remotest connection to "irishamerican"... does prosperity flow from ignoring and offending your readers? and mr counihan and other writers, interns, contributors: what's wrong with telling niall now and then to just cram it?
Gosh - bleat bleat bleat, kaydog - or should that be "woof" - Bushville got the US where it is today and Obama has done a lot to rescue you all from living in caravans. Sometimes one wonders about the intellect of posters here - stuck in some incomprehensible groove and bleating the same old shyte.
“But to look at Erin today you’d never know she was once one of TV’s biggest stars. Her peaches-and-cream complexion is a maze of wrinkles and crow’s feet. She’s aged terribly.” What an insensitive thing to say. The woman looks good. She's living life and has more bravery and spirit than many of her associates in "tinkletown"(sic).
Thank god for good friends. She is being helped by one of her TV star from the main star
I always loved Erin, and I think she looks GREAT for her age. As to her having to live in some Obamaville at this stage in her life, well, she's in good company, along with 5.6 MILLION other American women who are unemployed. I just hope she doesn't have kids to look after, because 50% of all non-college 18 - 20 year olds AND 50% of all college seniors can't find jobs (thanks, Barack!), and there's no basement in a trailer for them to come stay in. Best of Luck to Erin!
I wish Erin well. She looks great to me. Hope she has nothing but success and happiness in her future.
I think she looks great- she looks happy and healthy to me and good for her that she's helping a family member. If only a quarter of Hollyweird had a sense of family or any thing other than themselves and giant egos they might actually put out entertainment worth paying for.
OK so she is being compared to her old self when on the sitcom...ugh how many years ago was that?? This 51 yr old pictured with no makeup is great, she looks good. Of course she has a few wrinkles as all 51 yrs old do unless they have been remove with some sort of intervention. Yes, that is normal. Get out a 30 yr old picture of youself and see if you look the same!
She's 51 year old. For the love of god, her looks are not the tragedy here. She looks like a lovely 51 year old woman, normal and without the artifice of botox and surgery. This is what we look like at this age, get over it. Poor dear, she gets no royalties from the reruns, which is in court here in America. Hopefully she will have income and back pay from all that was stolen.
I agree, Andrew, Scarlett and Curitiba. Her kindheartedness show through Erin's smile.
And how is this not different from anybody else in America living during this depression. She sounds like so many other Americans. Living in a trailer Park is much better than living in one's car or living on the streets.
hey dublinborn we here in America would rather earn what we have than have the government up is our business all the time
Being a child star does not guarantee to you a life full of entitlements. Her neighbors are living the same life, but they experienced a southern California lifestyle. They are not starving to death. They should have planned many years ago. America is a great country.
God will reward her for her kindness.
