Ed Harris cast to play Senator John McCain in "Game Change"
Hollywood veteran Ed Harris has been cast to play Senator John McCain in the film adaptation of "Game Change". The four-time Oscar nominee will play the Senator in the adaptation of the insider account of the historic 2008 election written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.
The book tells the story of the campaigns of Arizona Republican McCain and Illinois Democrat Barack Obama in the race for the White House.
The film will be directed by Jay Roach, who won an Emmy for his 2008 HBO film "Recount," about the controversial 2008 Presidential election. It will also star Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin.
HBO have also announced that they are producing a miniseries about Vice President Dick Cheney's career in politics. This show will be adapted from the book "Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency" by Barton Gellman.
