Director of ‘Once’ to direct supernatural thriller ‘The Rafters’
Carney directs new thriller drama

The Irish director of the Oscar Award winning film “Once” is preparing to release his newest thriller called “The Rafters”.
The story is set off the west coast of Ireland on the Aran Islands, in an old guesthouse. The protagonists are American backpackers competing for the attention of a young woman, who is haunted by ghosts from her past.
Filming has taken place and the movie is now in post-production.
Carney also directed the sci-fi comedy “Zonad” which was showcased at the Tribecca Film Festival in 2009.
