At least, the 24-year-old up-and-coming Irish vocalist hopes to one day join the ranks of the most famous and revered Irish tenors of all time.

For the past three summers, the young tenor from County Wexford has studied voice in New York City, and even performed a program of Irish songs for President Bill Clinton and Irish-American philanthropist Loretta Brennan Glucksman at the prestigious Metropolitan Club.

He’ll now take the stage in New York once again and perform “An Evening of Irish Classics” for audiences at Merkin Hall in the renowned arts education and performance venue, the Kaufman Center, in order to launch is professional career.

"I have just graduated from law school in Ireland so one aim of this concert is to raise funds to continue my vocal tuition and professional development in New York,” said O’Leary. “It's an exciting opportunity for me and I can't wait to get on the stage at Merkin Hall.”

The black tie gala fundraiser will be held on June 13. The event will feature a full stage; O’Leary will be joined by guest violinist Lynda O’Connor, another County Wicklow native, a piano accompanist, string quartet and a choir.

Merkin Hall is located on 129 West 67 St. in Manhattan between Amsterdam and Broadway. Orchestra seat tickets cost $50 each, and balcony seats cost $35. All proceeds will go towards O’Leary vocal and drama studies.
