The curse of the most expensive musical on Broadway, Bono and the Edge’s “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” continues as lead actress Natalie Mendoza has quit the show.
The lead actress suffered a concussion during the first preview performance. Mendoza who plays the villainess, Arachne, is the second female lead after Spider-Man’s girlfriend.
Mendoza has been working on an exit agreement for several days according to a New York Times report. She was struck in the head by a rope and suffered a concussion on November 28. She did return to the performance but then took time off.
The production is still in its preview stage. It is due to open on February 7.
