Dublin born actor Colin Farrell proved he had no fear of New York’s harsh winter elements this week, when he took a dip in the East River while filming his forthcoming movie ‘A Winter’s Tale.’
The 36-year-old award winning actor was snapped in full clothing wading in the freezing waters of the East River for a scene in the movie on Tuesday.
The Golden Globe winning actor has had to grow his hair but shave it underneath for his role.
His new movie is based on the novel with the same name, and sees Farrell play the role of Peter Lake, who falls in love with a dying young woman after breaking into her Manhattan apartment.
His love interest is played by Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay. Will Smith, Jennifer Connolly and Russell Crowe also appear in the directorial debut of Oscar-winning writer of ‘A Beautiful Mind,’ Akiva Goldsman.
The movie flicks between 19th century and present day New York as Farrell's character Lake, also forms a close bond with a white horse that can fly.

I agree with nosoupforU. The stuff in that water is toxic in many ways.

It's not the cold of the east river he should worry about.

I would be worried about the horse, the Irish have taken to eating them.
